TE launches new CoolSplice connector product line
This new Insulation Displacement Connector (IDC) series simplifies the process of connecting wires or flat cables in multiple LED lighting scenarios. Users don't need any special training—just two simple steps using the left and right buttons on the connector. With common hand tools, anyone can complete the connection easily: 1. Insert the wire into the connector 2. Press the button to secure the wire firmly The connector features an observation window that lets users verify if the wires are fully seated, ensuring a reliable connection every time. Additionally, the left and right sides of the connector can be terminated independently, offering greater versatility for different wiring needs. Thanks to advanced IDC technology, these connectors are built to last and eliminate the need for pre-stripping wire insulation, saving both time and cost during installation. Their compact, symmetrical shape and barrier-free design make them ideal for use with 16.00 mm [0.630] diameter holes or PVC conduits, minimizing spatial requirements. This makes them perfect for tight spaces where efficiency is key. These connectors are also safe and easy to maintain. They have no sharp edges or screws, so they’re gentle on the hands and don’t require special tools for installation or cleaning. The smooth surface resists dirt buildup, keeping the connectors looking clean and functional over time. The CoolSplice connector family is suitable for a wide range of lighting applications, including commercial, residential, and outdoor environments. It's ideal for use in areas like commercial refrigeration units, display cabinets, furniture lighting, outdoor and garden illumination, emergency lighting systems, signage, building facades, smart home devices, and audio/speaker lighting setups. The product line includes unsealed and sealed versions of 18 AWG stranded, fused, or solid wires, all available in color-coded options. A collar is included to securely connect sheathed cables to the connector. The series has received several certifications, including UL, ENEC, and KEMA KEUR, and the standard version meets IP65 and IP67 ratings, while the flat cable version complies with IP66. This ensures reliability and performance in even the most demanding conditions.
Low-voltage electrodes are structures used to support wires and equipment to distribute power at lower voltage levels. Low-voltage poles are designed to deliver power safely at voltage levels below 1,000 volts, which are considered low compared to the high-voltage levels used in industrial and commercial environments.
These poles are an important part of the grid infrastructure and help to provide communities with reliable and safe electricity.
TE Connectivity ( TE ) has launched a new line of CoolSplice connectors designed specifically for LED lighting applications. These innovative connectors offer a user-friendly push-button termination system, making installation quick and efficient. They support various wire configurations, allowing flexibility in different lighting setups. The sleek, symmetrical design not only looks modern but also helps save valuable space, which is crucial in compact installations.
