Network speed increased by more than 4 times

Marvell showed this multi-carrier TD-HSPA + communication chip, model: Marvell PXA 1202. The processor uses an advanced 40-nanometer process, supports DLDC, 64QAM and TS0 enhancement technologies, and the diversity reception of base station antennas. It can be used to develop TD-SCDMA standard mobile phones, tablet computers, Internet cards, wireless routers and other terminal devices.

By adopting dual-carrier bundling technology for the TD-SCDMA system HSPA + downlink, the theoretical value of single-user throughput can be increased from 1.68 Mbps to 6.72 Mbps under the time slot configuration of 2: 4 in the uplink and downlink, realizing a 4-fold increase. In July 2011, in the joint test conducted by ZTE on the existing network in Guangzhou, the TD-SCDMA network card equipped with Marvell PXA 1202 was used in conjunction with ZTE ’s base station supporting DLDC multi-carrier technology, and the actual single user throughput reached more than 5Mbps. In August of the same year, Huawei adopted the Marvell PXA 1202 multi-carrier terminal and TD Tech's base station supporting multi-carrier technology to carry out joint debugging of dual-carrier bundling in Shanghai. When the time slot configuration of uplink and downlink 1: 5, the peak rate was as high as 8.4Mbps.

In the evolution of TD-SCDMA in China, TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE will coexist for a long time. In the industrial advancement, TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE must not be regarded as the opposite relationship. The coordinated development of the two should be done well, and no effort should be spared to promote the industrialization of TD-LTE.
