Overview The UL1581-560 Wire and Cable Heating Deformation Test Device is designed to comply with the requirements of UL5601-2006, UL560, and UL2556 standards, specifically for the heating deformation test of wires and cables. This device ensures accurate and reliable results under controlled thermal conditions. The device features a pressure bar with a top diameter of Φ19mm and a bottom diameter of Φ9.5mm, with a total weight of 250g. It includes three stations, each capable of holding different weights to simulate various stress conditions during testing. The standard weight configuration includes 1g, 2g, 2g, 5g, 10g, 10g, 20g, 20g, 50g, 100g, 100g, and 200g per station, with three sets available. Custom weight options are also available upon request to meet specific customer requirements. II. Operating Instructions 1. Prepare appropriate samples according to the relevant test specifications and ensure they meet the required dimensions and conditions. 2. Use a static weight dial gauge to measure and record the initial thickness of the sample before the test begins. 3. Place the test device inside an aging test chamber and position the designated weights on the weight plate as per the test plan. 4. Set the temperature and time parameters of the aging chamber to match the requirements specified by the applicable standards. Once the desired temperature is reached, turn on the switch and start the timer. 5. After the set time has elapsed, carefully remove the sample from the chamber and use the static weight dial gauge again to measure and record its thickness post-aging. 6. Calculate the deformation rate using the formula: (Post-aging thickness - Pre-aging thickness) / Pre-aging thickness × 100%. Compare the result with the relevant standard criteria to determine if the sample meets the required performance level. This device is ideal for quality control and compliance testing in industries that require rigorous evaluation of wire and cable materials under heat stress conditions.
