The NJM2063A dual-channel Dolby B noise reduction integrated circuit is a product of NEC and JRC. It is a 16-pin dual-row flat chip package with an operating voltage range of 1.8 to 6V, a typical operating current of 10mA, and a Dolby level of 100mVrms. This block is mostly used for Walkman, such as Sony WM-FX355, WM-F205, Toshiba KT-V850 and so on.
The typical application circuit is shown on the left. The power supply voltage is input from the {16} pin, and then output from the {9} pin after being stabilized, and the {8} pin is common ground. There are two identical Dolby noise reduction circuits inside the block. The signals are input from the {2} and {15} pins, and after internal processing, they are output from the {4} and {13} pins, of which the {1} pin is Noise reduction on and off control pin. In addition, the {3} and {14} feet are used for audio coding.
When the block fails, the input voltage of the {16} pin and the regulated output voltage of the {9} pin should be measured first, and the possibility of damage to the internal Dolby noise reduction processing part is very small.
