US market optimistic about photovoltaic inverter

In terms of capacity, Sunshine Power Canada Limited, a subsidiary of the world's third largest photovoltaic inverter manufacturer, Sunshine Power Co., Ltd., is demonstrating a number of new products at the SPI International Solar Energy Exhibition. Zheng Guibiao, executive vice president of sales and marketing of SunPower, stated: “The SG30KU inverter is a killer application for the US market. The company also demonstrated its new SG750MX/800MX inverter at SPI, one of the world's highest power generation, outdoor, and stand-alone PV inverters, attracting a lot of attention at Intersolar 2013. The UL and CSA certified inverters feature CEC efficiency of 98.5%, 1000V DC input, low voltage ride through (LVRT), high voltage ride through (HVRT), FRT, power limit, and IGBT unit slide-n-swap technology. It is easy to maintain in harsh outdoor environments, while at the same time, it is heavily discounted against most competitors.

In addition, the SunBox PVS-16M-US combiner box, specifically designed for the North American market, includes arc fault detection and a string-level monitoring option, and can also be found at SPI's Sun Power booth, far below the market price standard.
