The second batch of distributed photovoltaic power generation demonstration zones will be launched

Recently, the National Energy Administration issued the "Circular on Implementing Distributed Photovoltaic Power Application Demonstration Zones." The list of the first batch of distributed photovoltaic power generation demonstration zones has been determined, including 18 parks, and the total installed capacity in 2013 was 749 MW.

The notice pointed out that the purpose of creating a demonstration park for distributed photovoltaic power generation applications is to expand the scale of distributed photovoltaic power generation applications and explore the technologies, management, and operating models that are suitable for the scaled application of distributed photovoltaic power generation. The demonstration zone project adopts the operating mode of “self-use, surplus electricity access, and power grid regulation” and adopts electricity subsidies. The proportion of self-use demonstration projects is higher than 70%, and the highest is 100%. The total capacity installed in the demonstration area in 2013 was 749 MW. In 2015, the total planned installed capacity was 1,823 MW.

In addition, according to information released by the New Energy Division of the Zhejiang Development and Reform Commission, in October this year, the National Energy Administration will also launch the construction of the second batch of national demonstration areas for distributed photovoltaic power generation applications.
