Let's do the machine fifteen together: 2017 mobile phone annual summary: which mobile phone is worth buying, which is not worth buying

Over the past year, I've used more than ten mobile phones intermittently and have written about a series of devices. Some photos are still missing from Aunt Zhang's collection due to personal interests. I decided to summarize my experiences with mobile phones. The following recommendations are based on my personal use (excluding iPhone X), and I hope they might offer some useful insights. Choosing a smartphone involves many considerations. Some people care about brand reputation, others focus on affordability, while some prioritize features like a good camera or a compact screen. It's hard to say which phone is the most worth buying—what works for one person may not suit another. In other words, it's subjective and difficult to determine what's truly valuable. **Most Unrecommended: Huawei P10 / P10 Plus** Every phone has its flaws, but some products seem to insult the intelligence of consumers. I'm referring to the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus. While the P10 had decent photography and an attractive design, the P10 Plus suffered from poor battery life. What really upset me was the mix-up between eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.0 storage, which was misleading. At launch, Huawei claimed the P10 used UFS 2.0, but in reality, it was just eMMC. Additionally, a phone priced over 3,000 yuan lacked an oleophobic coating, which is basic for such a price. Later, they suggested applying it after purchase, which felt dismissive of customer expectations. I’ve never bought another Huawei phone since then, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this model. **Not Recommended for Purchase** Each phone has its own target audience, and whether it’s worth buying often depends on the price point. Some models become more appealing after a price drop. However, HTC’s current performance isn't something I'd consider. After-sales support is lacking, making it unsuitable for the general public. **OPPO and Vivo under 2000 CNY** OPPO and Vivo are often dismissed, but for users who only need a stable, smooth experience, these brands can be reliable. However, models below 2000 CNY are not recommended. They tend to lack quality, especially when compared to their higher-end counterparts. **Meizu Pro7 / Pro7 Plus** The Meizu Pro7 and Pro7 Plus were expensive and didn’t deliver on promises. The rear display was gimmicky, and the MediaTek P25 processor wasn’t impressive. Even though the X30 was okay for daily use, the high price made it unattractive. If the price dropped to around 1500 CNY, it might be a better option. **Huawei Nova2 (Unused)** The Huawei Nova2 was overpriced for its specs. It used a Kirin 659 processor and came with only 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC storage. For 2499 CNY, it felt similar to OPPO or Vivo models, but without the same reliability. **Xiaomi Note3** Compared to the Huawei Nova2, the Xiaomi Note3 was slightly better, but still not a great buy. It essentially took the Mi 6 and scaled it up, but reduced the configuration and increased the price. Bundling other products with the phone was particularly frustrating. **Recommended: Redmi 5 Plus under 1000 CNY** If you're not too concerned about the camera, the Redmi 5 Plus is a solid choice. It has a large battery, a good screen, and fast charging. While the Snapdragon 625 isn’t top-tier, it’s efficient and cost-effective. For those who care about photography, there are better options in the same price range, like the Mi 6 or the Honor 7X. **Around 2000 CNY: Xiaomi 6 and Honor 9** The Xiaomi 6 is well-built, with a good screen and solid performance. However, the 64GB version is hard to find. The Honor 9 offers slightly better camera performance and a more appealing design, though it lacks 5G Wi-Fi. **Around 3000 CNY: Vivo Xplay6 and Xplay7 (Expected)** From a user perspective, the Vivo Xplay6 is a strong contender. It has a premium OLED curved screen, excellent camera, and good audio quality. The Xplay7 is highly anticipated, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it improves on the Xplay6. **Around 4000 CNY: Huawei Mate10** The Huawei Mate10 is a top-tier device with excellent photo quality and the powerful Kirin 970 chip. Although the NPU might not be widely used yet, it represents a future trend. The camera is particularly impressive for social media sharing. **Around 5000 CNY: Samsung Galaxy S8** The S8 has a stunning design and improved software performance. My only issue is the fingerprint sensor placement, which feels awkward. Overall, it's a solid choice for those seeking a premium experience. **6000 CNY and Above: iPhone X** At this price point, the iPhone X is a luxury item. I haven’t used it yet, and I don’t think it’s worth the cost right now. **Additional Links and Resources** You can explore more reviews and comparisons online for further guidance. Smartphone choices are deeply personal, so always consider your needs and preferences before making a decision.

Battery Energy Storage System

Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is a complex system that integrates multiple technologies and devices to store electrical energy in the form of chemical energy and release it for use when needed. The following is a detailed description of the purpose of the BESS class:

I. Basic definition
BESS is a system that uses lithium batteries, lead batteries, etc., as energy storage carriers to store electricity for a certain period of time and supply electricity when needed. The power provided by the system has functions such as smooth transition, peak cutting and valley filling, frequency regulating and voltage regulating, etc. It is of great significance to improve the stability, reliability and flexibility of the power grid.

Second, system composition
BESS mainly consists of the following parts:

Battery Array:
It is the core part of BESS and is used to store electrical energy. Common energy storage batteries include lithium-ion batteries, lead-acid batteries and so on.
The performance of the battery directly affects the efficiency and reliability of the entire energy storage system.
Battery Management System (BMS) :
Responsible for intelligent management and maintenance of each battery unit, prevent the battery from overcharging and overdischarging, and extend the service life of the battery.
Monitor the battery status, including voltage, current, temperature and other parameters, to ensure the safe operation of the battery pack.
Energy Storage converters (PCS) :
It is one of the key devices in BESS, responsible for converting direct current in the battery pack to alternating current, or alternating current to direct current, to meet the needs of different application scenarios.
PCS has the ability to control the flow of electric energy bidirectional, and can flexibly adjust the power and voltage of the grid.
Local controller:
Responsible for local control and management of BESS, including data collection, condition monitoring, fault diagnosis and other functions.
The local controller can also communicate with the external energy management system (EMS) to receive instructions and perform energy scheduling and power control.
Power distribution system:
Devices such as switches, circuit breakers, cables, etc. are included to connect BESS to the power grid or other loads.
Distribution systems need to ensure the safe transmission and distribution of electrical energy.
Auxiliary equipment:
Including temperature control system, fire protection system, lighting system, monitoring system and so on.
These devices are used to ensure the safe operation and routine maintenance of BESS.
3. Technical characteristics
High efficiency:
BESS has high energy conversion efficiency and charge and discharge efficiency, which can maximize the use of stored electrical energy.
Flexibility:
BESS can be flexibly configured and expanded according to actual requirements to adapt to different scales and scenarios.
Reliability:
With advanced BMS and PCS technology, BESS is able to ensure the safe operation and efficient utilization of battery packs and improve the reliability of the system.
Environmental protection:
BESS uses renewable energy for energy storage and power supply, reducing dependence on traditional energy sources and environmental pollution.
