24.3 billion will be used for electricity construction in areas without electricity

On the morning of the 9th, the State Grid Corporation of China and the governments of Sichuan, Tibet, Gansu, Qinghai and Xinjiang 5 provinces (autonomous regions) signed an agreement in Beijing to jointly accelerate the construction of electricity in areas without electricity. The State Grid Corporation of China plans to invest 24.38 billion yuan, and in 2015, it will solve the power problem of the population without electricity in the coverage of the large power grid.

According to briefings, as of now, China's Sichuan, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Tibet and other remote ethnic minority areas, resettlement relocation area still has no electricity population, a total of 597,000 households, 2.527 million people. Most of these non-electricity households are located in remote areas, with high mountains, high water, high cold, and lack of oxygen, inconvenient transportation, harsh construction environments, and high project costs.

State Grid Corporation of China established the principle of "giving priority to extension of power supply to large power grids and supplementing power supply to local power supply," and formulated a plan to comprehensively solve the problem of no power supply. It plans to invest 24.38 billion yuan (including Sichuan-Tibet networked projects) through the power grid. Extend to the maximum extent and solve the problem of power supply for the 427,000 non-powered households and 1.749 million people without electricity. The rest of the 170,000 households and the 777,000 non-powered population who live in a decentralized, large-scale power grid cannot cover, and the local government is responsible for adopting decentralized power supply solutions.
